Job duties 

  • Ensure clear communication and the timely implementation of retail-related initiatives, such as visual merchandising (VM) and marketing, across all stores.  

  • Oversee compliance with global operational guidelines and coordinate the introduction of new technologies, policies, and procedures developed by the global retail operations team.  

  • Address operational challenges by collaborating with relevant departments like IT, Retail Design, and Finance, while also providing administrative support to the retail team.  

  • Offer consistent on-the-ground support to gain deeper insights into the business operations.  

  • Work with Logistics to support stores in managing stock levels, addressing both current and out-of-stock situations to meet business needs.  

  • Coordinate regular inventory processes, including cycle counts and biannual stocktakes, in all retail locations.  

  • Assist with the allocation and distribution of campaign materials and related items.  

  • Manage account setup, registration, and provide pre-opening and on-the-ground support for new store launches.  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Finance, and Digital to ensure new stores meet all operational requirements prior to opening.  

  • Implement retail projects aimed at improving business and operational efficiency.  

  • Support ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.  

 

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills in both Japanese and English

  • Strong computer skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook.

  • Solid understanding of retail operations and retail applications including POS 

  • Detail oriented, with excellent follow through skills

  • Autonomy and strong sense of initiative
