JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Commercial/Sales Lead for biomarker profiling products and services, leveraging technologies such as microRNA detection, NGS, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics analysis. This role focuses on driving adoption within BioPharma and Academic institutions, from basic research to translational medicine and molecular diagnostics.

The position includes direct customer management, establishing an effective distributor/local dealer network, and providing technical sales support for the life sciences business in Japan. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial professional to contribute to business growth in Japan.

Business Development & Strategy

  • Lead sales opportunities for biomarker profiling products and services.

  • Identify and engage target customers through face-to-face meetings, web conferences, technical discussions, and related activities.

  • Develop and manage relationships with distributors/local dealers to drive sales growth.

  • Provide technical advice to customers pre- and post-projects, including support for proposals, post-sales services, seminars, and promotional events.

  • Support sales and marketing processes, including contract work, distribution management, sales documentation, and exhibitions.

  • Monitor progress against annual targets, providing accurate reports and developing strategies to address any gaps.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in a scientific or technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience in life sciences, with knowledge of nucleic acid chemistry, molecular biology, and/or Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)

WELCOME SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in sales or technical support for BioPharma and/or academic customers preferred.

  • Strong ability to communicate with customer and market needs to internal teams and provide technical solutions.

  • Proficiency in document/report creation, teleconferencing, and general PC use.

  • Experience working with distributors/local dealers is a plus.

  • Native Japanese proficiency required; business-level English preferred.

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and exhibitions (primarily within Japan).
