<Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions>

Financial Intermediaries

  • Review and enhance the current training programs aimed at financial professionals, with a focus on expanding content that supports broad investment and business practice knowledge, independent of specific products.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams to understand existing global training materials and identify ways to adapt and tailor them for the local market.

  • Lead and deliver training sessions for financial professionals—such as those in banking, advisory, and insurance—on topics related to investment strategies and client relationship management.

  • Develop localized training content both independently and in collaboration with internal departments, ensuring materials are relevant to the needs of different types of financial professionals. This includes incorporating feedback directly from clients and colleagues.

  • Work directly with external partners to understand their development needs and provide training that supports more effective communication with end clients, aligned with the organization’s overall philosophy.

 

Institutions

  • Partner with internal teams to design and manage customized training programs for high-priority clients, such as large institutional investors. This involves selecting suitable topics, identifying presenters, and organizing program delivery.

  • Work closely with client-facing and content teams to uncover opportunities to enhance the training offerings for institutional audiences.

  • Establish a structured process for gathering client feedback to ensure their input is reflected in the ongoing development and refinement of training initiatives.

Strategic partnership and global collaboration

• Support Head of Capital Learning – Japan a to plan strategies on how to drive Japan sales growth through leveraging CG’s accumulated knowledge and expertise of existing intermediary sales support model in abroad.

 

<Required Experience and qualifications>

• Manager level or equivalent.

• Experience in teaching and coaching others, ideally within the financial industry.

• Fluency in English (spoken and written, business to native level).

• Credibility with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to work with others.

• Competency in computer and database skills like Word, Excel, and specifically PowerPoint.

• Flexibility to travel for an extended period (maximum few weeks) where required.

 

<Preferred>

• University degree preferred with at least ten years related working experience in the investment management industry and / or financial services, ideally in a training function.

• Experience creating and delivering training to clients, ideally across financial intermediary and institutional channels.

• Experience in marketing or sales, and/or client-facing roles especially dealing with Japanese local distributors would be an advantage.

• Related professional exams and certifications.
