[SUMMARY]
The Head of New Business will be responsible for driving new revenue generation within the Japan market by leading strategic business development efforts, fostering key internal and external partnerships, and overseeing growth operations. This role will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure client acquisition, and long-term growth.

 

[RESPONSIBILITIES]
1. Japan Domestic Clients 

  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the Japanese market by establishing and strengthening relationships with domestic clients.

  • Develop and execute strategies for winning new business pitches.

  • Create a strategic client outreach roadmap to foster long-term partnerships and drive revenue growth. 

 

2. Internal Collaboration & Cross-Agency Partnerships 

  • Work closely with internal teams, particularly with other group agencies, to leverage capabilities and expertise in driving new business opportunities.

  • Align internal resources with business objectives, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration across business leadership, strategy, media planning, and analytics teams.

  • Promote a culture of shared accountability and knowledge-sharing within the organization to optimize growth initiatives.

 

 3. External Partnerships & Alliances 

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders.

  • Identify collaboration opportunities with external agencies to expand service offerings and enhance market positioning. Negotiate and establish mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Ensure clear alignment between partner contributions and our broader business growth strategy.
     

4. Growth Marketing & Brand Development 

  • Oversee lead generation initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights to identify and convert potential clients.

  • Plan and execute marketing events, networking opportunities, and thought leadership initiatives to enhance brand visibility.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns that position us as a leader in the market.

  • Strategic pitch plans and client engagement roadmaps.

  • Market intelligence and competitor analyses.

  • Growth pipeline reports with accurate forecasting and performance tracking.

  • Partnership proposals and collaboration frameworks.

  • Quarterly business review presentations and transformation plans.

 

 [REQUIREMENTS] 

  • Native Japanese and business level English 

  • Strong strategic and consultative selling skills.

  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.

  • Proficiency in growth analytics, forecasting, and business planning.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align cross-functional teams.

  • Experience in media, digital marketing, or advertising agencies.

  • Proven track record of winning high-value clients in the Japan market.

  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in new business development/sales role.
