We are currently seeking an Operations and Logistics Manager for our Japanese subsidiary, who will report to the one brand's APAC CEO as part of our dynamic team inTokyo.

 

【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】

The Operation and Logistic Manager (OLM) is responsible for the brand overall operations and logistic activities in Japan.

The Material Planning and Logistics Manager will direct purchasing from HQ in Italy, warehousing, distribution to POS and BtoB Clients, financial forecasting or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer satisfaction.

How you will contribute

  • Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the supply chain

  • Direct materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport, and distribution

  • Examine existing procedures for streamlining activities to meet customer needs

  • Direct the movement, storage, quality control of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activities

 

  • Lead the Customer Service Team to meet targets in areas such as transit and delivery times; inventory levels; purchasing and customers satisfaction

  • Liaise with sales managers to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business

  • Optimize warehouse functions

  • Implement and follow up

    KPI and audit programs, physical inventory, cycle counting, delivery and non-conformance material flow process

  • Drive supply chain initiatives between sales and operations

 

【REQUIREMENTS】

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    or related field to Supply Chain Management.

  • At least 5 years Supply Chain

    experience, with a proven track record of success.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing/production processes

  • Experience with planning scheduling processes

  • Creative and pragmatic: able to implement quickly and effectively from the idea to the result

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.

  • Ability to lead, train and mentor employees on a personal and professional level

  • Good in English
