【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】
We are currently looking for a legal Counsel candidate in Japan who has relevant experience and passion in Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform industry.
- Provide legal advice and assistance from various aspects relating to the operation of the local business
- Support rolling out of new mobility platform service on compliance with local laws As Legal & Business affairs for MaaS
- Review new services, Apps&Products, and marketing materials developed for the Japan market to ensure rights clearance and compliance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, internal reports and policies, regulatory filings, etc. and manage outside counsel on any matters requiring domain expertise
- Assist in handling litigation and other law enforcement matters, and legal filings/notifications
- Assist in routine company management requirements (e.g. general meetings, corporate governance filings)
- Assist in administration of corporate policies and procedures, such as vendor security, privacy compliance and contract approval.
- Assist in setting up processes and providing training to the business teams
- Interface with regulators where needed
- Conducting a variety of Legal research
【QUALIFICATIONS】
- Law degree and 5-7+ years of business law experience or equivalent experience negotiating business agreements related with Japanese business practice
- Formal legal education (LL.B., LL.M., and/or JD) is highly preferred
- Strong hands-on management and leadership skills;
- Ability to interact with a range of senior-level executives across the global business and broader market segment
- Have extensive experience in formulating and leading significant issues management, government relations, and policy advocacy activities
- Experience in IT industry
- Fluent in Japanese and English (verbal and drafting)
