We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented professional to join our Technical Services team as an Applications Scientist. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting researchers and working directly with cutting-edge laboratory technologies.

【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】

In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver expert technical support and training, helping researchers effectively utilize our products throughout their experiments—from initial setup to data analysis.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support across the sequencing workflow, including sample prep and sequencing processes.

  • Provide expert guidance on experimental design and optimize workflows to meet customer needs.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, understand user requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions using our technologies.

  • Conduct training sessions and manage educational activities related to our products.

  • Partner with field applications teams to support strategic customer accounts.

  • Assist with onboarding and training of certified service provider partners.

  • Document all customer interactions in the CRM system accurately and thoroughly.

  • Support the onboarding and development of junior technical support team members.

  • Represent the company at conferences and events; travel may be required up to 20%.

【REQUIREMENTS】 

  • MSc or PhD in a Life Sciences discipline.

  • Practical experience in wet lab work with a strong foundation in genetics, molecular biology, or cell biology.

  • Native-level fluency in Japanese and good conversational proficiency in English.

  • Thorough knowledge of experimental design and data interpretation.

  • Excellent communication abilities, a friendly and approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
