Responsible for overseeing the IT operations, ensuring the alignment of technology resources with business goals, and driving the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance our services
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Ensure effective resource allocation and team productivity.
Be pivotal in scaling the team to meet future demands, managing a larger software development team over the next 3-5 years.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products.
System Management: Oversee the management of network, hardware, software, and databases, work in collaboration with regional infrastructure team to support the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems and infrastructure.
Security and Compliance: Work with global and regional COE teams to ensure that cybersecurity & compliance measures are in place to protect company data and systems.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with financial objectives.
Strategic Leadership: Implement the IT strategy in alignment with the company's objectives and business needs. Ensure the IT roadmap supports the growth and efficiency of the organization.
Your Profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL) is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the payment solutions industry is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proven experience in software development & managing complex IT projects. Knowledge of IT infrastructure & cybersecurity would be a plus.
Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and analytical skills. Ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive innovation.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Japanese and English. Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and navigate through challenges effectively.
Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, regional and global counterparts (e.g. Global Technology teams for Infrastructure, Security, Data Architecture & eQ Global App team), and external vendors
Adaptability: Flexible and open to changes, capable of navigating and leading through ambiguity and uncertainty. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adept at managing multiple priorities.
