【JOB RESPONSIBILITIES】
Manage reporting for the financial results of Japan working in close contact with Global Finance team in Hong Kong
Ensure the invoice payments are managed before the due dates and reconcile the AP balance for Japan working in close contact with the third-party vendors
Manage the cashflow for Japan and oversee banking relationships
Develop reports and information that support the Company operation from Finance and Accounting standpoint
Ensure compliance with IFRS and the organization’s accounting policy at all times
Maintain a strong internal control environment by monitoring the effectiveness of the control environment, for the local employees’ expense claims and the POs related to invoice payments
Identify & recommend opportunities for creating or enhancing business procedures in order to improve controls or gain efficiencies
Complete annual finance audit for Japan entities through supporting the local finance auditors
Make payments for all taxes and file the annual tax returns for Japan entities by working with the local tax auditors
Coordinate with the Global Legal team on all legal and contract issues from the accounting standpoint as needed
Work with the Local HR & Admin person to develop and enhance work flows to improve operational efficiency of Finance, especially for the invoices and contracts management
【REQUIREMENTS】
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business is a benefit
Certified or Chartered Accountant with accreditation is a benefit
At least 5 years relevant experience within Finance role
Experience in working with external auditors is a plus
Experience working with other countries outside of Japan is a plus
Advanced Excel experience
Fluent in both English & Japanese
【WORKING AGREEMENTS】
Start Time and End Time: 9am to 6pm (with one hour lunch break) Flexible
Hybrid working - 3 days remote work per week
20 days Paid Annual Leave
